Liferaft boarding aids "are inadequate"
"However much effort has gone into designing a liferaft, "it is of little benefit to the casualty if they are unable to enter the raft due to inadequate boarding aids." And boarding aids may well be inadequate, believes Dr Allan Keefe, research technologist at Defence R&D Canada (DRDC), an agency of the Canadian Department of National Defence."
