IASST International Meeting and Conference.
We are pleased to announce that the IASST International Meeting and Conference, held from September 16 to 21 and organized by Novikontas Maritime College, has concluded and gathered dozens of positive reviews.
Now we would like to provide more detailed information about the significant parts that took place during the IASST International Meeting and Conference.
September 17:
Everything started on September 17th with a meeting of IASST members, where internal organizational issues and the future development in the field of Safety and Survival Training worldwide were discussed.
The topics of innovation in the training of specialists in sea rescue and safety were also raised, including new approaches to training and their effective implementation into the existing systems for preparing maritime professionals.
On the same day, the most emotional part of the meeting took place, where all attendees had the opportunity to participate in a rescue mission at the Novikontas Survival Theatre. This day became an unforgettable experience for all participants, who went through a short but impactful training. Everyone took home not only emotions but also a great learning experience!
September 18-19:
The next two days, from September 18th to 19th, the conference was held, gathering over 100 participants from 26 countries. The theme of the conference was naturally related to Safety, and it brought together all industries working at sea, including maritime, oil/gas, and wind energy.
Four foundation stones for Safety were selected as a sessions, which include Safety Leadership and Culture, Psychological Safety, Career and Skills in Safety, as well as Safety Tech and Innovation.
Mind-blowing presenters with both industry and scientific backgrounds, as well as the brilliant minds forming the group of delegates, made the conference a success. Panel discussions after each session provided all of us with an unforgettable experience and new knowledge.
